Hiring Salary Range: $241,702.31 - $247,744.91 base

We are seeking a dedicated Addiction Medicine Physician, MD or DO to deliver comprehensive care in an ambulatory setting, with a strong focus on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and whole person wellness.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Care & Patient Support

  • Provide full spectrum medical care, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
  • Lead and manage Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs for patients with substance use disorders
  • Evaluate and manage co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions
  • Support patients through withdrawal and recovery with evidence based, compassionate care
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment, prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community resources to ensure continuity of care
  • Precept and mentor medical residents and students
  • Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and organizational initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with a supportive team of medical providers, precepting mid-level clinicians as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and provide backup consultation to fellow PTHA providers.
  • Engage in Peer Review, quality improvement initiatives, and organizational reporting processes.

Education & Mentorship

  • Serve as a preceptor for medical students and residents, supporting the PTHA Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • Collaborate with medical schools as adjunct faculty when available.

Hospital & Community-Based Care

  • Perform hospital rounding for PTHA patients as scheduled (rounding only).

Compliance, Professionalism & Cultural Respect

  • Maintain accurate, timely charting and uphold HIPAA and organizational confidentiality standards.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, self-care, and respect for Indigenous cultures, traditions, and values.
  • Support infection control protocols and safety requirements.

What You Bring

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified in Family Medicine and current WA State license to practice medicine.
  • Successful completion of an addiction medicine fellowship preferred.
  • Five (5) years' experience in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
  • Current ACLS and/or PALS and/or ALSO certification.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records.
  • Experience teaching or precepting medical residents.
  • Commitment to teamwork, cultural humility, ethical standards, and high-quality care.
