POSITION: Long-Term Substitute Registered Behavior Technician

• 29.5 hours per week
• Putnam Elementary School – Special Education
  
  

DESCRIPTION: A registered behavior technician (RBT) supports and implements individualized plans under the direction of a board-certified behavior analyst. RBTs provide applied behavior analysis interventions that assist students develop social skills as well as positive behavior.

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
• Collect, record, and summarize data on targeted behaviors
• Assist special education teacher in accordance with students individualized plans
• Maintain confidentiality
• Effectively communicate with board-certified behavior analyst and special education teacher regarding data and student progress
• Follow all protocols and training to ensure student safety
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification in Connecticut (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Required)
• ParaPro Test or equivalent of 2 year's college credits - 60 credits (Required)
• Experience working in a school system preferred
  
  

START DATE: Immediate Opening for the remainder of the 2025-2026 School Year

RATE OF PAY: $31.84 per hour
