Our client is a well-established and nationally recognized fuel distribution company, delivering high-quality petroleum products and solutions across a vast network of retail and commercial partners. With a strong reputation for operational excellence and long-term customer relationships, they are seeking an experienced and driven Division Manager to oversee a team and manage a large portfolio of accounts in the Southwest region.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on managing and developing a team of Account Managers while ensuring strong customer retention, contract renewals, and long-term account growth. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the downstream fuel space and a passion for building and expanding customer relationships over time.
📍 MUST BE LOCATED IN THE SAN ANTONIO / AUSTIN AREA!!
Responsibilities:
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Area Account Managers overseeing 500 fuel locations
• Drive EBITDA growth across company-owned and dealer-owned accounts
• Own full P&L responsibility for the division
• Lead contract renewals and ensure long-term customer retention and expansion
• Develop and execute site-level strategies to increase profitability and organic growth
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with dealers, distributors, and retail partners
• Oversee performance metrics, training, and development for team members
• Collaborate cross-functionally across finance, operations, legal, and real estate teams
• Ensure high standards of professionalism, customer service, and brand executio
Requirements:
• 8 years of experience in the oil & gas industry (MUST be downstream)
• 3 years of leadership/management experience within fuel distribution or retail gas
• Experience working with wholesalers, distributors, or selling into gas station/convenience store operators.
• Strong background managing a book of business (50–65 accounts)
• Proven ability to grow and expand existing accounts (not just new business)
• Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED
👉 NOTE: Candidates with upstream experience (pipelines, terminals, chemicals) will NOT be considered. This role requires downstream, retail/convenience store fuel experience.
