What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Mechanic for Fleet Vans/cars position at Purple Mountain Solutions, Inc.?
Part - Tim Assistant Mechanic: will assist with but not limited to the following;
Shift: Week Days, possible weekend hours when needed
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues with vehicles
- Pressure-test and diagnose coolant systems.
- Check and diagnose electrical systems and make minor electrical repairs.
- Check tire alignments and maintain the fleet's tires.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements, and stay current on preventive maintenance schedules.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and electrical systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and ensure repairs are effective.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work areas
- Communicate with supervisor about repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work weekends if neede
