The Pumphouse Brewery – a high-volume, independent brewpub – is looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented & creative individual to join the kitchen management team. This is a solid opportunity to build upon, as there will be ample room to showcase your culinary creativity & sharpen your kitchen management skills with a well-established company that has been in business for 28 years.
The requirements are:
· Management experience (at least 2 years ) in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
· Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, as well as some computer skills
· Aptitude for restaurant financials, including food cost, labor cost, and other controllable costs associated with managing a kitchen
· Leadership & coaching skills with a track record of acquiring & developing talent
· Passion for the restaurant business & the desire for a long-term career in this industry, & with us in particular
· Creative culinary background that can be practically applied to the realities of a high-volume commercial kitchen
· Working chef skills second-to-none. This is a hands-on, "working chef" position in which a premium is placed upon kitchen presence & true leadership by example, rather than leadership from the office.
· Flexibility with scheduling & willingness to put in some long hours when it becomes necessary
