Position Summary
The Manager will primarily oversee PS’ portfolio of Developmental Disabilities Services contracts, leading the coordination and management of projects across various divisions to execute scopes of work across training, content development, family-serving events, and technology supports. The manager will interface with the client and internal teams to ensure contract deliverables are met efficiently, on time, and with quality. This role requires strategic planning, resource distribution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals while maintaining flexibility in responding to client needs.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and maintain expertise in policy and practice related to Developmental Disabilities Services, ensuring ongoing PS team education; ensure expertise is represented in the quality and relevance of contract products and services.
- Develop and implement internal best practices for developmental disability services
- Stay informed about the latest updates and developments in disability law and available community resources to provide well-rounded support and guidance.
- Spearhead internal collaborations on state contracts with a strong emphasis on delivering training initiatives through various platforms for diverse audiences; maintain client relationships.
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to gather critical information to ensure alignment with contract deliverables.
- Implement the use of an internal tracking mechanism to monitor projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Monitor deliverable progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure project transparency and accountability; provide expert briefings and recommendations for addressing project needs.
- Evaluate project outcomes and conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement and share lessons learned.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging team development and continuous improvement.
- Act as a liaison between departments to promote effective communication and resource sharing.
- Provide technical assistance and resource development to improve service delivery for the self-directed services offering of DDS.
- Provide coaching and supervision to assigned staff

Education/Training
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- Master’s Degree, preferred
- Applicable fields and disciplines include business, social sciences, humanities, public administration, public policy, education, not-for-profit management, and related fields.
Experience
- Five years of relevant work experience in project management, project planning, program operations, or strategic planning, research and/or policy, preferred
- Experience working on large-scale, multi-dimensional projects involving multiple partner organizations, government contracts and competing priorities, strongly preferred
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skills and ability to effectively translate research into practice for wide dissemination, required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; mastery level knowledge and experience, preferred
- Occasional Domestic Air Travel
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Personable, a critical thinker, self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented and flexible
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility. Ability to be mobile throughout the community.
