Project Engineer – Composites & Polymer Manufacturing 📍 Gulfport, MS | Full-Time | Salaried
Our client is looking for a Project Engineer with a background in composites or polymer manufacturing to join an Integrated Product Team supporting defense and submarine programs. You'll have real ownership from day one and a clear path to grow into Technical Ownership, Product Ownership, Engineering Management, or Program Management.
What You'll Do
- Drive polymer process and tooling development across active programs
- Author manufacturing instructions and provide hands-on manufacturing support
- Lead IPTs on small to medium size projects alongside Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Logistics, and Production
- Interface directly with customers, subcontractors, and production technicians
- Manage documentation, redlines, proposals, schedules, and budgets
What We're Looking For
- 5 to 8 years of experience with composites, polymer materials, or injection molding/mixing
- BS in Polymer, Composites, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Civil, Structural Engineering, or Naval Architecture
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
- US Citizenship or Green Card required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; SolidWorks experience is a strong plus
- AS9100 or ISO9001 experience a plus
- Strong communicator with technical writing or work instruction experience preferred
