Project Controls Specialist
A team is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support the successful delivery of programs through scheduling, forecasting, reporting, cost management, document control, and risk analysis.
This role is responsible for the daily management of project controls activities, supporting the development and execution of project controls plans, and ensuring quality and consistency across all program controls processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily project controls activities across multiple program areas
- Assist with development and execution of project controls plans and quality standards
- Create and maintain schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), logic ties, and what-if scenarios
- Perform critical path scheduling, resource loading, forecasting, cost management, and reporting
- Produce reports, dashboards, cash flow reports, and statistical analysis
- Support implementation and maintenance of reporting data warehouses
- Analyze data, review logs, and run reports within planning and controls software
- Validate progress measurements, maintain progress curves, and conduct field audits
- Support risk management efforts by identifying and mitigating potential risks
- Review Earned Value Management reporting, execution manuals, and documentation
- Present schedule, cost, and forecast updates to stakeholders and leadership teams
- Serve as a technical point of contact for project controls questions
- Support Interactive Program Planning Meetings (IPPM)
- Assist with updates to financial systems and communicate impacts to program financials
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and at least 3 years of direct project controls experience required
- Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, cost management, forecasting, and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification or ability to obtain required
