Electrical Test Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Test Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with hands-on experience testing electrical-based products, troubleshooting complex issues, and working in a laboratory environment.
The Electrical Test Engineer will support product engineers by setting up and performing tests, assisting with prototype assembly, conducting product tear-downs, and analyzing electrical components down to the PCB level.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and perform product tests requested by product engineers.
- Assist with the assembly and evaluation of prototype units.
- Perform product tear-downs and technical analysis down to the PCB level.
- Troubleshoot electrical and product-related issues in a methodical and efficient manner.
- Document and report test findings in a clear and organized manner.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive electrical testing lab environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global development teams.
- Support the identification and prevention of recurring technical issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic working knowledge of power and electrical engineering principles.
- Experience working with AC and DC power circuits under 20kVA.
- Knowledge of microprocessor and sensor interfacing.
- Familiarity with firmware interfacing, DC batteries, connectors, and wire harnesses.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and identify electrical components.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an electrical testing laboratory environment.
- Excellent planning, organization, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with cross-functional global teams.
