Assistant Electrical Detailer
Location: Maitland, Florida

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Electrical Detailer to join our growing engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects and collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers in a dynamic, multi-discipline environment. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing detailed electrical drawings, support project execution, and contribute to high-quality deliverables while maintaining efficiency and budget awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing non-routine electrical drawings using sketches, engineering notes, or verbal guidance
- Support a full range of CAD drawing production and project deliverables
- Assist with project execution and drawing package preparation
- Print, scan, and submit drawing packages as required
- Maintain proficiency with CAD systems and related software tools
- Utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings
- Assist in maintaining client and company CAD standards
- Participate in QA/QC processes and provide quality feedback
- Review and adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget requirements
- Identify priority tasks and assist with execution planning
- Communicate workload and project updates with team and management
- Support training and mentoring efforts when applicable
- Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with company policies and standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting Technology or related field with 2 years of related experience, OR
- Associate Degree with 3 years of related experience, OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience
Note: Bachelor's degrees in Engineering fields are not permitted for this role.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn and effectively use new design software
- Experience working with 2D and 3D design applications
- Basic understanding of electrical design concepts and calculations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline project team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
