Electrical CAD Technician β Onsite Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Electrical CAD Technician to join our team in a full-time, onsite role. This position supports engineers, designers, and detailers in developing high-quality drafting and design solutions across a variety of projects, including potential federal work.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled in AutoCAD, and eager to contribute to continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment. This role plays an important part in preparing, revising, and maintaining engineering drawings while ensuring compliance with company and client drafting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings from sketches and layouts
- Update and maintain plot drawings
- Adhere to company and discipline drafting standards
- Utilize standard drafting detail programs
- Support continuous drafting improvement initiatives
- Research design solutions and recommend improvements
- Assist with documentation and ad hoc project tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with coursework in Drafting Technology
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant CAD experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Specialized CAD certification preferred
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Self-motivated with leadership potential and desire to grow professionally
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship
