What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll serve as the face of PT United in clinics throughout New Hampshire and surrounding New England areas as needed. You’ll provide on-site preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and equipment installations for therapeutic medical and chiropractic equipment.

About 70% of your time will focus on routine maintenance of therapy tables, small medical equipment, chiropractic equipment, and exercise equipment. The remainder includes troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repairs, and new equipment assembly and installation.

You’ll start most days early, sometimes around 7:00 AM, and be on the road five days a week following a dispatched schedule coordinated by our operations team. Occasional overnight travel and out-of-state manufacturer training may be required. You’ll receive hands-on company training and ongoing support from our office team. Every service call is a little different, so judgment, mechanical intuition, and ownership matter.

You’ll work closely with operations leadership to ensure clinics are supported safely, professionally, and to the standard our clients expect.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site service, diagnostics, and mechanical/electrical repairs
  • Conduct testing and calibration per manufacturer standards
  • Document service work electronically, ensuring accuracy and timeliness using computer software
  • Identify and communicate parts required for repair
  • Assemble and install therapy tables, treadmills, chiropractic equipment, and related clinical equipment
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels in your service vehicle
  • Maintain your vehicle, tools, and equipment in professional condition
  • Educate customers on best-use and maintenance practices
  • Follow OSHA and safety standards while working around therapy, exercise, and chiropractic equipment, maintaining clean and safe workspaces
  • Partner with office and repair shop teams to support smooth execution

2–3 Years of Required Experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude (replacing small motors, belts, mechanical components)
  • Basic electrical knowledge (comparable to replacing switches or receptacles)
  • Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Proven customer service and professionalism (very important)
  • Strong time management and independent work habits
  • Good driving record

This role requires moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.

How You Know You’re Right For This Role

You’re right for this role if communication, integrity, and attitude guide how you work when no one is watching. You value the autonomy to execute your dispatched schedule professionally and efficiently, taking ownership of each clinic visit from start to finish. You manage your time responsibly throughout the day, communicate clearly with customers and the office, and take pride in solving problems thoughtfully. You enjoy hands-on work, steady travel, and being the person clients rely on to fix things the right way.
