As a Field Service Technician, your role will include unparalleled technical support for our national home improvement retail clients, allowing them to experience the best support available within the industry. The candidate shall be a self-starter, have exceptional customer service proficiencies, and ability to use communication as an expansive tool to achieve an excellent customer experience. The candidate must conduct their efforts in a professional, businesslike manner and effectively communicate, as well as provide continuous quality in their daily task achievements. The candidate will be self-motivated with excellent time management skills, with the capability to complete projects ahead of schedule. Candidate will support clients IT/Data problem tasks, provide prompt action, and deliver support and resolution for daily technical requirements. The candidate will be consistent with documentation, tracking and monitoring issues, providing notes and feedback as well as make in-field decisions for a positive result.


Responsibilities

  • $20/HR STARTING PAY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
  • $21/HR FOR A OR NET CERTIFIED PAY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
  • THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION; YOU WILL BE PROVIDED A COMPANY VEHICLE
  • Exceptional Customer Service and relationship building competence.
  • Must be able to work in physically demanding environment (Lifting, bending, climbing, walking extensively)
  • Must be self-motivated, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Must have a working cell phone.
  • Travel within a radius of 25 to 100 miles daily in a specific route
  • Areas include retail locations around Findlay, Ohio
  • Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts
  • Excellent time management and reporting skill
  • Familiar with various operating systems (e.g. - Windows OS, OSX, Linux/Unix)
  • Manage triage, troubleshooting and resolution to client scope on IT equipment
  • Occasionally works at heights of 20’ to 25’, lift equipment training provided
  • Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases/tickets daily
  • Experience desired in copper and fiber cabling and various terminating connectors
  • Proficient communicator with emotional intelligence insight for explaining IT terminologies at the client’s level of understanding
  • POS Systems repair
  • Lexmark Printer repair
  • Access point repair
  • Thin client repair
  • Refresh projects
  • Able to lift 25 lbs
  • 40 hour work week mandatory

Qualifications

  • One year IT technical support experience
  • Cash recycler repair experience is highly preferred
  • CompTIA A (Required)
  • Net CompTIA certification preferred
  • Driver's License (Required)

Schedule Requirements: This position requires a schedule of Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week.

Schedule Duration Requirements: The FST must be able to be onsite during working hours.


Physical Requirements: 

Must be physically able to operate a variety of machines, equipment, and tools. Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demand requirements are more than those for sedentary work and require walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending reaching, climbing, balancing etc. for extended periods of time. You must have the ability to climb ladders and tolerate heights of up to sixty feet. Must be able to tolerate working in heat, cold, and periods of dampness. 


Interpersonal Communication:  

Must have the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information, including the receiving of information and instructions from direct supervisor. 


Language Ability: Requires the ability to read and write. 


Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 


Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize basic mathematical formulas. 


Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes in the use or operation of motor vehicles, equipment, machinery, and tools. 


Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. 


Color Discrimination: Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color. 


Interpersonal Temperament: Must have the ability to deal with people beyond receiving instructions. 


Physical Communication: Requires the ability to talk and/or hear (talking – expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words; hearing – perceiving nature of sounds by ear.)   


Quality of Work: 

Maintains standards of accuracy in assigned duties and responsibilities, and demonstrates quality communication with other departments, co-workers, and the public. 


Quantity of Work: 

Maintains efficient output in the performance of all assigned duties.  


Dependability: Assumes responsibility for doing assigned duties in accordance with directives. Accepts accountability for assigned duties and the proper care in the use of all equipment. Must have the ability to work alone.
