Position Description
The Intern provides support to senior professionals in the following domains:
- AI Strategy & Implementation
- M&A Due Diligence
- Portfolio Company Monitoring
- Financial Analysis
- Industry Research
- Deal Flow Sourcing
Interns are expected to think critically, work comfortably with senior-level executives on projects, and independently achieve results. In turn, the Intern role provides a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to private equity investing and challenges an individual to enhance their skills in a growing, dynamic company.
Responsibilities
- Help develop the firm's AI strategy by identifying and implementing AI tools, workflows, and infrastructure across investment processes
- Analysis of investment opportunities including financial modeling, valuation and return analysis
- Market and industry research
- Comprehensive due diligence on companies, management, customers, competitors and industries
- Preparation of term sheets and letters of intent and review of transaction documentation
- Monitoring of select portfolio companies and quarterly valuation analysis
- Preparation of materials for Investment Committee, executive team, investment partners, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or STEM
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage time
- Interest or experience in AI tools and applications
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and modern productivity tools
- Self-motivated and desire to work independently and alongside a small team of driven investment professionals, depending on the needs of the project
Compensation: Paid internship, hourly rate commensurate with experience.
Position is located in Anchorage, AK.
