Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced PHP/IOP Program Manager to oversee the daily operations, clinical coordination, and program performance of our PHP and IOP services. This role partners closely with the Clinical Director, therapists, medical providers, and administrative teams to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and efficient program delivery.
This position is ideal for candidates currently working as Program Managers, Assistant Clinical Directors, or Program Directors within behavioral health, substance use, or mental health treatment settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of PHP and IOP programs
- Ensure programs meet state, payer, and accreditation requirements
- Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director on program development and quality improvement
- Manage clinical schedules, group programming, census, and staffing coordination
- Monitor program outcomes, utilization, and patient flow
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and supervision of clinical and support staff
- Act as a liaison between clinical teams, administration, and leadership
- Ensure accurate documentation, audits, and compliance with policies and procedures
- Foster a positive, patient-centered, and team-oriented culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field strongly preferred
- Active clinical license preferred (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent)
- 2–5 years of experience in PHP, IOP, or similar behavioral health program settings
- Prior experience in program management, clinical operations, or leadership roles
- Strong understanding of behavioral health regulations, utilization management, and documentation standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working with multidisciplinary clinical teams
