PsychAssociates Group is a leading psychologist-owned group practice, founded in 1993. Our therapists provide high quality behavioral health services to populations in short-term acute rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities throughout all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County.
PsychAssociates Group currently has multiple positions available for LMFT's and LMHC's to treat residents of well-regarded nursing homes in multiples locations in Manhattan, Queens, Bronx, and Long Island. Therapists will work under the supervision of a NYS Licensed Psychologist. This is a tremendous opportunity for Social Workers seeking supervised experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning.
Requirements:
- Active NYS LMFT or NYS LMHC
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide treatment to patients with varied mental health needs in a culturally sensitive, professional and ethical manner. Challenging issues that our staff encounter with our short and long-term care patients include adjustment to change, compliance with care and medication, anxiety, depression, compulsive behavior, isolation and withdrawal, and low self-esteem
- Collaborate with treatment teams and other related service providers to assure continuity of care
- Present in-service trainings to other clinical disciplines within the facility to optimize patient outcomes
