What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Benefits Specialist position at PsiNapse Technology, Ltd.?
Our client, a tech company in San Francisco, is looking for a contract HR Benefits Specialist to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. This will be an onsite/remote hybrid opening and ideal candidates will have experience managing European employees. This mostly hybrid role will be supporting their European office, so an earlier start time is required. The hourly pay rate for the opening is $35.00 to $38.00.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Leave Management Department with daily leave/entitlement designations for European employees.
- Confers with employees and their supervisors, examines employee files including work histories and other confidential records.
- Investigates claims of serious health conditions to explore reasonable accommodations issues.
- Update forms to ensure continued compliance with statutory regulations.
- Data entry, gathering and data reporting.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired; Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade, supplemented by course work or training in modern office practices and computer software programs.
- 3-5 years of Human Resources or similar experience
- Experience or exposure to European Human Resources rules and regulations ideal but not required.
- Strong experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Meets, Calendar, Mail, etc.)
- Experience using Workday software is highly desired.
- Experience with MS Office Suite (Worx, Excel, Outlook).
- Larger company experience is ideal.
- Strong communication skills with a commitment to a culture that supports communication and inclusion.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
- Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
- Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
All employment is contingent on candidates providing at least two positive professional references from prior managers.
