As a School-Based Social Worker, you will:
- Develop and implement intervention and prevention programs that support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
- Utilize Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and evidence-based interventions to promote positive outcomes and reduce at-risk behaviors.
- Provide counseling services to students in general and special education programs—individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other service providers to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Address socio-cultural and emotional factors that impact student learning and school success.
- Required: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW or equivalent).
- Required: New Jersey School Social Worker Certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.
- Preferred: Experience working in school-based settings or with children/adolescents.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
