You’ll play a vital role in keeping students healthy, safe, and ready to learn — while providing reassurance to families and staff. As a Registered Nurse in a school clinic, you bring clinical expertise to support student wellness, respond to health concerns, and help create a safe learning environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day nursing care in the school clinic
- Administer medications and monitor student health needs
- Assess and respond to illness or injury
- Support communicable disease prevention protocols
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality (HIPAA/FERPA compliance)
- Utilize clinical judgment to evaluate student health concerns and determine appropriate care
- Active Ohio RN License (Required)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Pediatric, school, or community health experience preferred (not required)
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Basic knowledge of medication administration and communicable disease prevention
- Current or willingness to obtain BLS or CPR/First Aid (role dependent)
