Technical Lead

This is a remote position and a long-term contract opportunity.

Duties

• Design and develop reusable, scalable React-based components and pattern libraries aligned with modern frontend architecture.
• Build and maintain design system components that support micro-frontend architectures using Module Federation, enabling independent team scalability and shared UI consistency.
• Identify and resolve inconsistencies in component usage, enforcing adherence to design system standards across distributed applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, and engineering) to drive adoption of unified components and shared frontend standards.
• Partner with developers to implement, integrate, and perform quality assurance on components across multiple micro-frontend applications.
• Champion the design system by advocating its value to stakeholders and demonstrating measurable improvements in development efficiency and user experience.
• Continuously evolve the design system by incorporating user feedback, accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and emerging frontend trends.
• Lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers to ensure best practices in frontend development are upheld.
• Provide strategic input on technology choices and architecture decisions to align with business goals.
  
  

Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and component-driven architecture (e.g., Storybook).
• Proven experience implementing design systems in micro-frontend ecosystems using Webpack Module Federation or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and modern styling approaches (CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, etc.).
• Proficiency in Figma with the ability to translate design tokens and UI specs into production-ready components.
• Experience with design tokens, theming, and cross-platform consistency.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), and scalable frontend architecture.
• Excellent analytical, methodical, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and guiding development teams.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
