Responsibilities
- Oversight and direction of the LOA team.
- Administers LOA programs for PSA Airlines and is responsible for ensuring all LOA duties are completely executed including personal, medical, FML, ELAs, Military and any other applicable time off or leave.
- Administers all leave of absence tracking done in the Workday HRIS.
- Works closely with the Human Resources team, various operations departments, and Payroll to ensure that pay and benefits for team members on, and returning from the various leaves, is accurate and timely.
- Partners with internal departments for proper administration of leave policies.
- Interprets policies and CBA language for team members and leaders in accordance with applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADAAA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).
- Develops and maintains reports for senior leaders regarding leaves.
- Conducts regular audits to ensure accurate records and compliant practices are enforced.
- Develops more efficient processes for leave and return to work administration, spots issues in the administration of leave and provides solutions to leadership to close gaps.
- Primary point of contact for ADA accommodation requests, administering the interactive process with team members and leaders, tracking all ADA requests and auditing for renewal or termination of accommodation.
- Overall responsibility for developing and implementing fraud investigations for suspected leave fraud.
- Primary point of contact for workers compensation with Shared Services Organization (SSO) and 3rd party vendor.
- Ensures that the workers’ compensation program is managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws for each specific state.
- Manages all medical documentation kept by PSA Airlines, ensuring HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are upheld.
- Maintains confidentially when working with team members.
- Mediator between PSA Airlines and its vendors on matters related to workers’ compensation claims, Family Medical Leave, and other leaves as appropriate.
- Develop and provide training to LOA coordinators.
- Develop and provide training to leaders and team members on leave options/responsibilities.
- Maintains communication with team members on leave to support departments in ensuring the enforcement of a timely return to duty.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Specifics
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of experience in Human Resources, specifically Leave of Absence or Benefits.
At least three years’ experience working with a Human Resources Information System.
Knowledge of and/or Experience with data analysis.
Program Management or Project Management experience.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to speak/read/write in English.
If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
Bachelor’s degree in a Human Resources related field or equivalent experience.
Experience with Workday HRIS.
Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to the Director of Labor and Employment.
Authorities: None
Supervisory Responsibility: This is a supervisor position.
