Dishwasher / Kitchen Utility (Full-Time | No Late Nights!)

Job Type: Full-time (32–40 hours/week), Part-time (Minimum 16 hours/week)

Location: 1210 Taft Hwy, Signal Mountain, TN 37377 (Just 10 minutes up the mountain from Red Bank!)

Schedule: Morning Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) | Full Availability Required (Including Weekends)

Welcome to Pruett’s Market! We are a 3rd-generation, locally owned independent market right on Signal Mountain. Our morning utility team is the backbone of our Food Service Department—keeping our kitchen running smoothly, helping with hot food prep, and setting our crew up for success in a safe, clean, and lively environment.

What You’ll Do

• Keep Things Sparkling: Wash and sanitize cookware, dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashers and hand-washing stations.
• Maintain the Space: Keep the dish pit, kitchen storage, and general kitchen areas clean, safe, and organized throughout the morning and afternoon.
• Support the Culinary Team: Ensure kitchen equipment and prep tools are sanitized and safely stored so our cooks stay ready for action through the lunch rush.
• Keep It Clean & Safe: Safely dispose of garbage, compost, and recycling following market procedures and health regulations.
• Lend a Hand: Assist the kitchen crew with light prep or maintenance tasks during peak morning hours as needed.
• Master the Rotisserie: Cook and manage our rotisserie chickens, strictly monitoring temperatures to ensure they meet our high quality and safety standards for customers.

What We’re Looking For

• Availability: Full-time availability (32–40 hours) for our 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM morning shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Quality & Safety Focus: High attention to detail regarding food safety, temperature checks, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Pace & Stamina: Physical stamina to stand, move quickly, and safely lift heavy cookware or trash bins in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-First Attitude: Reliable, hard-working, and eager to contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.
• Experience & Education: Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus, but no experience is required—we offer full on-the-job training! High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
