Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership to oversee daily business support operations for a large commercial division
- Support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration in partnership with HR leadership
- Coordinate risk management initiatives including insurance programs, claims administration, and liability mitigation
- Facilitate workforce training, technical certifications, and safety program execution across field operations
- Lead administrative compliance efforts related to DOT, OSHA/MSHA, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, compliance, reporting, and process standardization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate departments to ensure alignment with enterprise policies, systems, and strategic objectives
- Maintain accurate operational reporting and support data-driven decision-making across the division
- 6 years of progressive leadership experience in business operations, HR, administration, or operational support functions
- Experience in industrial, commercial, fleet, manufacturing, distribution, automotive, transportation, or service-based environments strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA/MSHA, labor regulations, employee programs, and risk management practices
- Strong systems aptitude with experience using ERP, HRIS, or enterprise reporting platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, or related field preferred
- Professional certifications such as SPHR, SHRM, ARM, or related credentials are a plus
- Strong operational and organizational leadership skills
- High attention to detail and process discipline
- Collaborative communicator with the ability to influence across departments
- Safety-focused mindset with strong compliance orientation
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic field operations environment
- Comfortable supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational execution
