Provident IT Partners is an IT Staffing firm dedicated to serving clients with their essential technology resource needs. We have a client seeking a Technical Project Manager - Data & Analytics (contract). This person will support a growing data roadmap consisting of multiple business-driven initiatives. This role is focused on delivery and execution, working closely with a Program Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of data and analytics projects.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strong, hands-on Project Manager who has experience working on data-related initiatives and can comfortably engage in conversations around data flows, dependencies, and risks, without needing to be deeply technical or tied to a specific technology stack.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple data and analytics projects aligned to the broader data roadmap
- Coordinate across business stakeholders, data engineering, and analytics teams to ensure alignment and execution
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Identify and manage dependencies across systems, teams, and data workflows
- Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to data pipelines, integrations, and delivery timelines
- Facilitate project ceremonies including status updates, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews
- Track progress and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Partner closely with the Program Manager to support overall roadmap execution
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Project Management (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments)
- Proven experience delivering data, analytics, or BI-related projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Data flows and pipelines (ingestion, transformation, reporting)
- System dependencies and integrations
- Common risks in data-driven initiatives
- Ability to effectively translate between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in new environments and manage ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior technical background (e.g., Data Analyst, Developer, QA, or similar)
- Experience working with data engineering and BI/reporting teams
- Familiarity with tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, or similar (not required)
- Experience in large-scale or multi-project data initiatives
