Registered Nurse Charge (RN) - ICU

The Charge Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for assisting the nurse manager/director in coordinating patient care, unit activities, and staff performance during their shift.

• Provides clinical leadership by making patient and staff assignments, delegating tasks, and ensuring quality care based on patient needs and acuity.
• Supervises, evaluates, and supports staff development, serving as a mentor and role model for professional growth.
• Serves as a resource for quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and service recovery efforts.
• Addresses immediate issues, troubleshoots problems, and communicates effectively with team members and leadership.
• Acts as a representative on committees and supports unit operations in the absence of management.
  
  

Qualifications include: RN licensure, minimum one year of clinical experience, current certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS), and knowledge of nursing standards. Preferred candidates hold a BSN.
