Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens Coverage

Role Overview: This inpatient psychiatric position involves providing comprehensive mental health care to adult patients in a structured hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Manage medication and provide follow-up care
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for patient care coordination
• Handle an estimated caseload of 12-15 patients per day
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Board certification in psychiatry is required
• Prescriptive authority is mandatory
• Experience with acute psychosis, mood disorders, depression, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder
  
  

Work Environment: Full-time, on-site inpatient care during weekday business hours, with no call coverage required. The team includes physicians, PMHNPs, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and case workers, supporting patient stays averaging 12 weeks.
