Certified Surgical Tech

Role Overview: This position supports surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, instruments, and supplies, and assisting during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, including verifying identity and positioning for surgery.
• Apply aseptic techniques and sterile procedures.
• Demonstrate surgical case presentation and assist as a scrub person and circulator.
• Prepare operative sites and report procedure status.
• Complete tasks under supervision, such as medication retrieval.
  
  

Qualifications: Must have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program or completed on-the-job training. Certification required within one year of employment for new hires.

Skills & Demands: Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and anatomy. Ability to work independently on minor cases. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform fine motor tasks. Exposure to typical hospital environment conditions.
