Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited surgical tech program or equivalent experience
- 0-12 months healthcare experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Credentialing within 12 months if a new graduate
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection prevention
- Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and pharmacology
- Proficiency with surgical equipment and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to handle physical demands of the operating room environment
