Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management strategies that support behavioral expectations and promote student engagement.
• Utilize educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on diverse learning styles and needs.
• Monitor student progress regularly through assessments, observations, and standardized testing; analyze performance data to tailor instructional approaches.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary activities, share best practices, and ensure cohesive curriculum implementation.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences.
• Support students with special needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting teaching methods and coordinating with specialists when necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching young children in an elementary or early childhood education setting.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and educational best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
• Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills that foster a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Familiarity with educational compliance standards, standardized testing procedures, and curriculum implementation strategies.
• Ability to adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles and promote differentiated instruction.
