Driver‑Warehouse Associate supports the organization’s logistics by ensuring timely deliveries, accurate order fulfillment, and safe vehicle operation. The role blends driving responsibilities with warehouse duties, maintaining quality control and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver goods on time, maintaining customer relations with courteous professionalism.
Pick, load, and manifest orders while ensuring loads are secure and within weight limits.
Verify freight count and condition, reporting overages, shortages, or damages.
Prepare receipts for pickups or deliveries and collect payments for goods and delivery charges.
Maintain communication with management via phone or radio for delivery instructions.
Fuel and restock vehicle and materials, completing daily shift tasks.
Perform warehouse duties when no deliveries, keeping work areas clean and organized.
Operate company vehicle safely, complying with state and federal DOT standards.
Inspect and maintain truck equipment, reporting problems or defects immediately.
Log vehicle usage per regulations and conduct emergency roadside repairs when needed.
Operate material handling equipment safely, including reach trucks, order pickers, and propane sit‑down trucks.
Work in varied hours and environments, handling physical inventory and extreme temperatures or dust.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license meeting company requirements
Ability to obtain and pass a DOT physical
Six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency operating material handling equipment (reach truck, order picker, propane sit‑down truck)
Manual dexterity for operating machinery and handling small parts
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
