We are seeking a dynamic and organized OFFICE COORDINATOR / CLINICAL ASSISTANT to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Collect patient vital signs, medical histories, and relevant documentation to support clinical assessments
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking X-rays, administering medications, and monitoring patient physiology during outpatient visits
- Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up reminders, and coordinate referrals to specialists or hospital services
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Support clinical staff with inpatient and outpatient procedures, including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center experiences if applicable
- Ensure clinic areas are organized, sanitized, and stocked with necessary supplies to promote a safe environment for staff and patients
Requirements
- Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or related outpatient settings; clinic experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions such as intake processing and ICD coding
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments like Geriatrics clinics or PICU settings
- Prior hospital experience including internal medicine or medical-surgical units is advantageous
- Excellent patient service skills combined with a proactive attitude to support both inpatient and outpatient care needs
