AP Staff Accountant

AP Staff Accountant | $30-38/hr DOE | Contract | Onsite, San Diego

Our client is seeking an AP Staff Accountant to manage accounts payable operations and support the finance team during a critical growth period. This role involves hands-on processing, reconciliations, and collaboration across departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Who You Are:

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Strong analytical skills and ability to ensure accurate coding and reconciliations
• Comfortable working onsite and collaborating with multiple teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent experience)
  
  
  

What You’ll Do:

• Process and enter invoices, create bills, and manage payments
• Handle ACH, wire transfers, and check runs on a weekly basis
• Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations for AP, AR, and other accounts
• Support bank reconciliations and daily cash assignments
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing
