Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Crypto Tax Accountant based in San Diego, CA. The Crypto Tax Accountant will handle tax compliance, tax preparation, and ensure accurate tax filings for digital asset transactions. Additional responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing accounting tasks related to cryptocurrency portfolios, and providing expertise on tax regulations. The candidate will work closely with the finance and trading teams to ensure rigorous compliance with the evolving tax landscape in the digital asset space.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and an in-depth understanding of Tax regulations, particularly related to digital assets.
- Strong skills in preparing Financial Statements and handling corporate tax documentation.
- Experience and expertise in Accounting principles relevant to proprietary trading and digital asset transactions.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency taxation, decentralized finance (DeFi), and tokenized asset frameworks is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and a commitment to ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
