Job Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead and support electrical engineering and design activities across multiple infrastructure projects.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of electrical engineering deliverables.
- Prepare and review electrical engineering design drawings, construction drawings, cost estimates, and contract documents.
- Design and review low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform load analysis, panel schedules, and equipment sizing calculations.
- Develop relay protection schemes and perform short-circuit and protection coordination studies.
- Conduct arc flash hazard analysis and equipment specifications.
- Design generator backup systems, UPS systems, DC power plants, and battery systems.
- Design EV charging infrastructure for retail and fleet deployments.
- Support Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar photovoltaic systems, and microgrid projects.
- Design lightning protection and grounding systems.
- Perform soil resistivity, fall-of-potential, and continuity testing.
- Coordinate with electric utilities for new service installations and upgrades.
- Conduct engineering site surveys and collaborate with field teams.
- Review designs for constructability and compliance with engineering standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project completion and approvals.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineering staff.
- Assist with resource allocation and daily operations of the electrical engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience required.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA 780, IEEE standards, and local jurisdictional requirements.
- Experience designing low and medium voltage electrical systems.
- Experience with electrical engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYME, CYMCAP, PowerWorld, XGSLab, CDEGS, or PLS-CADD.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and power systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
