Position Summary
The Inpatient Pharmacy Manager oversees the operational and clinical functions of inpatient pharmacy services in a hospital setting. This role ensures safe medication distribution, supports evidence-based medication therapy, and provides leadership to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians while optimizing pharmacy workflows and systems such as Epic Willow Inpatient.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily inpatient pharmacy operations including medication distribution, sterile compounding, automated dispensing cabinets, and inventory control. Ensure compliance with USP /, Joint Commission standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.Support clinical pharmacy services, medication safety initiatives, and formulary management. Serve as a lead for Epic Willow inpatient workflows and collaborate with IT for system optimization. Supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve medication-use processes and patient safety.
