Job Roles And Responsibilities
- Perform complete electrical design for lighting, power, and fire alarm systems for commercial projects.
- Select and specify electrical equipment and system components.
- Analyze design alternatives and evaluate existing electrical systems.
- Coordinate project deliverables with internal teams, consultants, and clients.
- Develop construction documents in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare technical specifications and design documentation.
- Utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit for project production and design development.
- Review contractor bids and provide technical clarifications.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during construction.
- Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in site visits, project walkthroughs, and field observations.
- Prepare field observation reports and construction phase documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical emphasis.
- Minimum 8 years of electrical design experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD required.
- Experience with Revit preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building systems and applicable electrical codes.
- Experience supporting commercial construction projects.
