Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT/RVS)
Location: Silver Spring, MD
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Setting: Outpatient
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT/RVS) to join our vascular team. The ideal candidate will independently perform high-quality, non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining efficient workflow in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations.
Assess and interview patients to determine the appropriate vascular studies.
Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort throughout the examination.
Perform And Analyze
Pelvic Venous/IVC Imaging
Lower Extremity Arterial Duplex Studies
Standard and Stress Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) Studies
Lower Extremity Venous Insufficiency Studies
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Studies
Produce high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images.
Record patient vital signs, lower extremity photographs, and ankle/calf measurements.
Prepare preliminary worksheets and complete diagnostic reports for physician review.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with quality standards and departmental protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Vascular Technology/Sonography program.
Minimum 5 years of vascular scanning experience, including abdominal vascular studies (Aorta, Iliac Arteries, and Iliocaval Duplex).
Current Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through CCI.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Working knowledge of ICAVL policies, procedures, and protocols.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Computer proficiency.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Additional OB/GYN or General Ultrasound registry credentials are a plus.
