The Radiation Therapist delivers prescribed radiation treatments to patients in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment setup.
- Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support departmental operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
- An Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field is required.
- Diploma/Certification in Radiation Therapy is required.
- ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification or registry-eligible is required.
- Must be in good standing with registry requirements.
