Overview
We are seeking experienced ICU/CVICU Registered Nurses to join a high-acuity, collaborative critical care team. This role involves working in a combined ICU and cardiovascular ICU setting, providing care to a diverse patient population ranging from post-operative cardiac cases to complex medical and surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Manage critically ill patients, including post-cardiac surgery and vascular intervention cases
- Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment and therapies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical and safety standards
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) recovery
- Valve repair/replacement and vascular procedures
- Thoracotomy and carotid interventions
- Advanced therapies such as IABP, ECMO, Impella, and induced hypothermia
- Active RN license (Compact State or eligibility required)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care experience preferred
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of employment
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
