Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Measure and record resident strength, mobility, motor function, and overall progress.
- Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities.
- Assist residents in the safe use of mobility equipment and assistive devices.
- Provide therapeutic treatments, including stretching, range-of-motion exercises, and other prescribed interventions.
- Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Current New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
