Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies.
- Compound medications, non-sterile medications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication regimens.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient interactions using pharmacy software.
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of necessary medications and supplies.
- Provide education to patients regarding their medications, including potential side effects and interactions.
- Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and industry best practices.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to pharmacology.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for managing prescriptions and patient data.
- Familiarity with compounding medications and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality pharmaceutical care.
