Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive ambulatory pediatric primary care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Obtain patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
- Develop accurate clinical diagnoses and prescribe evidence-based treatments.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Maintain appropriate preventive health schedules for pediatric patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and provide appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Build and maintain a continuity-based pediatric practice, ensuring follow-up appointments and referrals are properly managed.
- Address environmental, social, and cultural factors that may impact patient health.
- Maintain strong patient relationships to promote high patient satisfaction and quality care.
- Meet productivity expectations by maintaining an average of approximately 2.6-2.7 patient visits per hour of clinical time.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation in medical records.
- Participate in peer chart reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and clinical review processes.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, nurses, and support staff within a team-based care model.
- Maintain clinical competency through continuing medical education (CME).
- Participate in the assigned on-call rotation as required.
- Typical schedule includes four clinical days and one administrative day per week, with occasional weekend coverage.
Education & Training
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
- Eligible for state medical licensure and credentialing.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
