Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of insurance defense matters, including Labor Law/Construction Litigation, Premises Liability, Motor Vehicle, Property Damage, and General Liability claims.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials.
- Supervise and mentor junior litigation associates while providing limited administrative oversight.
- Appear in state and local courts throughout the New York City metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Develop litigation strategies and effectively advocate on behalf of clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management and successful case outcomes.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
- 7 years of insurance defense litigation experience (6-10 years preferred).
- Proven ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.
- Strong courtroom presence, legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior attorneys.
- Passion for litigation and client advocacy.
