Litigation Attorney (Commercial / Civil)

Summary

Our client, a well-established Suffolk County law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, general civil litigation, and landlord/tenant matters. This role offers the opportunity to handle cases from inception through trial in a fast-paced, collaborative, and family-friendly environment that supports long-term growth and development.

Responsibilties

• Handle commercial and civil litigation matters from inception through trial
• Prepare and file court documents
• Manage discovery and e-discovery processes
• Conduct court appearances
• Organize exhibits and case files
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience
• Experience in commercial litigation, civil litigation, and landlord/tenant matters
• Strong experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice
• Familiarity with state, commercial, and district court procedures
• Federal court experience is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, Westlaw, and eDiscovery tools
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York
