Litigation Associate Attorney – Commercial & Real Estate

Summary

Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Charlotte office. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience handling commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution. Experience with landlord representation, real estate litigation, or property management matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage discovery, depositions, hearings, negotiations, and other litigation activities.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with landlord representation, real estate litigation, and property-related matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy and client matters.
  
  

Requirements

• 5-10 years of substantive commercial litigation experience.
• North Carolina Bar admission required.
• South Carolina Bar admission is a plus.
• Experience managing litigation matters through resolution.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases, deadlines, and client relationships.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
• Experience with commercial disputes and complex litigation preferred.
• Exposure to real estate litigation, landlord representation, or property management matters is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
