Job Summary

Provide comprehensive dental care to a diverse patient population, including preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services, with an emphasis on patient-centered care for underserved communities.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Conduct dental examinations, diagnose, and treat conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections.
• Perform dental procedures including fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
• Provide preventive care: cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and oral hygiene education.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in community outreach programs and promote oral health awareness.
• Support clinic policies, confidentiality, equality, and quality standards.
  
  

Qualification, Licensure, Experience

• Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from an accredited dental school.
• Current unrestricted ME license to practice dentistry (or) Willing to obtain.
• DEA license and current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience preferred, especially in community health or public health settings.
• Experience working with underserved and Medicaid populations is highly desirable.
