Job Summary

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed OT.
- Implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide skilled therapeutic interventions based on each child's needs.
- Address fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, coordination, motor planning, ADLs, play, and developmental skills.
- Support functional independence and participation.
- Monitor patient responses and progress.
- Communicate observations and progress to the supervising OT.
- Collaborate with parents/caregivers and other healthcare professionals.
- Reinforce home programs and treatment strategies.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and maintain a positive clinical environment.
- Provide child-centered and engaging treatment sessions.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Tennessee COTA license or eligibility for Tennessee licensure.
- Current COTA certification/credentials required to practice.
- Must be in good standing with the applicable licensing board.
- Must pass a background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of a supervising OT.
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
- New graduate COTAs are welcome.
- Candidates should have a strong interest in working with children.
- Must be comfortable with a Monday-Thursday schedule.
- Must be comfortable with a billable-hour compensation structure.
- Candidate must have their own health insurance.
