The Associate Medical Director provides clinical and operational leadership in a community health outpatient setting. This role combines direct patient care with oversight of quality improvement, clinician performance, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary care (Family Practice and Pediatrics) including preventive, acute, and chronic care management.
- Monitor clinician performance and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and refine clinical policies, workflows, EHR templates, and referral processes.
- Ensure timely documentation, billing compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification).
- Completed U.S. residency in Family Practice or Pediatrics.
- Board Certified in Family Practice or Pediatrics.
- Active, unrestricted California medical license.
- Minimum 3 years of outpatient primary care experience.
- Prior leadership experience required; FQHC experience preferred.
- BLS certification and eligibility for Medicare/Medi-Cal credentialing.
