Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Project Engineer (Technical Office) to join our team for a Major Infrastructure Project in Norfolk, Virginia, USA (on-site position).
Project: Highway/Bridge/Structure
Estimated duration of the position: 12 months; In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
Summary
The Project Engineer (Technical Office) will perform a technical coordination role between the design team and construction teams. The position ensures proper technical alignment, documentation management, and effective communication among all stakeholders involved in the execution phase of the project.

Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical interfaces between design and construction teams.
- Perform design review and technical coordination.
- Manage the submittals process and related documentation.
- Oversee and manage the RFI process.
- Interface with designers and joint venture partners.
- Provide technical support to superintendents and field teams.
- Support change order management and technical evaluations.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday – Day Shift
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical background.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
- Experience in technical office or design–construction coordination roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation, RFIs, and submittal processes.
- English level: C1 (Advanced).
- Local profile required.
- Working for an international company currently expanding.
- 22 paid vacation days 5 working days of sick leave (100% salary)
- Travel: At the beginning and end of the project.
