Security Project Manager
The Security Project Manager (PM) directs security projects based on a company's specific goals and needs. In addition to developing project plans, they supervise the work of various team members, which can include electricians, security engineers, presales engineer and technicians. The PM must understand the needs and goals of our organization and develop an appropriate project plan as requested by our clients.
The ideal candidate for this role must reside near one of our East Coast offices, or specifically in Florida, Texas, or Massachusetts.
Some of the Key Tasks:
- The PM will work closely with the Pre-Sales Design Engineer and Sales Representative and will report to the Director of Operations & Service.
- The PM will take ownership of all aspects of security systems project life cycles within their assigned region.
- The PM is expected to be the face of Prosegur for all security projects within their assigned portfolio.
- The PM shall participate in the Sales to Ops turnover meetings and manage the Ops to Service handover phase of a project, including responding to RFI (Requests for Information) and processing Change Order requests during the post-sale time of the project.
- The PM will be responsible for the RFP (Request for Proposal) subcontractor process and is expected to solicit all vendor bids for accuracy, technical capabilities and applicable discounts.
- Working with the procurement department for their region, and compliance with RFP scope such as the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Schedule.
- The PM is expected to proactively and responsibly manage project budget and is expected to keep project financials on budget.
- The PM will create and manage all project schedules and ensure Prosegur schedules align with the Customer and their Master Project Schedule. The PM is to ensure Prosegur’s sub-contractors have acceptance of the project schedule and timeline for staffing prior to PO issuance to the sub-contractor.
- The PM will be responsible for identifying local code(s) requirements, city/state/country laws, ADA compliance, Fire Department regulations, and typical International Building Code best practices for consideration of impact to project design and deployment.
- The PM shall have a competent understanding of Access Control systems design and implementation, Video Security design and implementation and Burglar panel design and implementation
- The PM shall have a basic understanding of Structured Cabling Systems and Fiber Optic Cabling.
- The PM shall have working knowledge of Networks and networked device programming and installation.
- The PM shall have a competent understanding of Construction Projects, Job Safety Training, and is expected to assess site conditions in various phases of construction to anticipate Milestone that are key to success of Security Systems installations.
- The PM will see all projects through to the Closeout Phase and is expected to be able to fill out Project Schedules with critical paths showing dependencies, carry out Commissioning of security systems with the help of the Security Project Engineer, develop and track Punch List Items through completion. This includes tracking of Record Documents (RDs) such as Warranty Letters, As-Builts and Final Invoicing.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor of electronics engineering or similar technical area.
- More than 3 years of experience in Electronic Security Systems.
- More than 5 years of experience in Project Management in a technical field.
- Must be able to travel occasionally.
- Possesses a project manager certification (CSPM or PMP).
- Possesses knowledge of MS Office suite, Microsoft Project and Windows.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is considered an advantage.
- An MBA will also be considered an advantage.
